My Blood my Country

I was down

Face flat lying on the ground.

Desperate, looking for help.

Little did I know, it was one hell of a trap.

They walked all over me,

No part spared,

Until the ribs murmured and caved in.

They kicked my head,

Bumps instantly mushroomed,

The size of an egg.

They did the same to my face,

And from all openings blood profusely sprouted,

Like you had never seen since.

But it soon condensed in the shape of weapons,

And came fighting back in my defence.

Oh my blood my essence.
