RISE AFRICA RISE

Rise Africa, rise, to the world’s surprise.
Be most stealthy, O four-headed leopard.
Dominion is given and Africa has arisen.
Though they languish, even if they die,
Even so, they still arise, a great surprise.
Africa does rise, to the world’s surprise.

Nimrod, the sixth born son of Ethiopia,
Was the first unholy, God opposing King.
Builder of the Tower of Babel, for fame,
For a name and an aim to reach the stars.
God-thwarted, men were spread abroad,
Language confused, for one was abhorred.

Solomon, King of many wives and women,
To the Queen of Ethiopia a son had given.
Meneleks’ priests stole the precious Ark,
Solomon turned to numerous false gods.
To the possessor of the Ark of the Covenant:
To you dominion is given, Africa has arisen!
